Home Sweet Home

This has been a long time coming, but here are a few pics of the new home and neighborhood! I'm a bit of a perfectionist (in case you didn't know) and wanted to have our place as decorated as possible before sharing. Keep in mind it's still a work-in-progress, but we truly couldn't be happier. We are viewing this as "home" for the next two, possibly three, years. Crazy to think our little Grace (and hopefully a future sibling) will be running around this place by the time we're ready to move... So thankful and so blessed :)

Our cute bungalow!
Kitchen eating area. New light fixtures throughout that we plan to take with us going forward!
Patio.
Family room. Thanks again Mom & Dad for the couches! They work perfect!
Hallway. Love the mirrored shelving.
Main bath. Sparkly-ish tiling is my favorite part :)
Stairway to Master Bedroom.
Master Bedroom. We're in heaven finally having a king size bed!
Notice how Kingston makes his way into EVERY picture... haha
Galley kitchen. Actually love this! Everything is within reach.

Gracie's room. Dream come true finally having a chandelier for her! Thanks Mom :)
I spy a sitting baby girl...
The VERY INVITING and SUPER COMFORTABLE guest room. Come visit us! :)
Basement laundry room.
Basement TV area. Notice my attempt at brightness here... haha
Our grey, black and white scheme was a bit depressing..
Kid's play area. A work in progress!
Basement bathroom.
His and her workspace. And yes, mama needs an "office" area too :) How else might I blog/ pay the bills?!

Grace and I actually remembered a camera during one of our daily strolls around town and decided to shoot some photos at a few of our favorite spots!

The Birmingham Farmer's Market has become a Sunday morning favorite for our family! Photos to come...
What's not to love about a park with castles, trolleys, and swings galore?
Our favorite play and lunch spot - Booth Park.

Grace's signature "scrunch face" these days. Not sure where it came from, but I love it :)
My favorite. Just had this blown up to a canvas!

My big girl SITTING! So proud of you Grace!

Contemplating eating the grass... hmmm.

There is no way to truly capture Downtown Birmingham, so a few pretty buildings will have to suffice.
Love the quote here.
Candy store - if you know anything about my jelly belly and candy corn fixation, this is an obvious favorite :)

Shain Park - So many activities here during the summer!
Starting Grace's first music class here next week. Down the block from us!
As you can see, we've quickly fallen in love with our new area. Missing home, our families and friends terribly, but adjusting would be much harder if we weren't in such a wonderful, family-oriented spot. We moved at just the right time as summers are pretty incredible here! As I said above, we're all set up and ready for visitors.. so pack your bags and come play! :)
