Happy 10 Months (and 7 days) Grace Mack!

Happy ten months Miss Grace! How could we possibly be two months away from the big one year birthday fiesta?! I can't help but feel a little nostalgic that our baby girl is quickly approaching her biggest milestone yet. My pinteresting has even taken a drastic turn to crazy-town with all the ideas and decorations for her big day floating around in my head! No worries - we aren't those parents. But I see no harm in a small get together complete with an adorable cake, a few banners and entertainment of some sort for our babe and her baby buddies :)

The latest exciting news in Grace's world is accomplishing the pull-to-stand! This is another huge step given our Torticollis setbacks. She started with a magazine holder, progressed to the bath tub and coffee table, then today tackled the crib railing! We officially need to lower her mattress to the very bottom setting now. Super exciting, and so proud watching her face light up once she makes it to her feet. Think we're still a ways away from walking, but definitely making progress in the right direction. New words include an attempt at "duck", "hi dad", "bye bye" and "grace". Saying her name is obviously super difficult, but we've heard the "s" sound come out when asking her to repeat it. Try, try again of course!

We've been keeping our weeks busy with physical therapy on Tuesdays, swim lessons on Wednesdays and music class on Thursdays. We're meeting lots of wonderful people through her few classes and our daily strolls, and squeezing in playdates here and there as well. Kingston is quite the conversation starter as well. Birmingham is full of dog lovers! He receives a good amount of TLC, and treats for that matter, nearly every walk we take. He's happy here to say the least :)

Hugging Grace and Zach a little tighter these past few days given the Aurora, Colorado incident that is in all of our nation's hearts and minds. Deeply saddened, sickened and just plain angry that evil like that lives in our world. Think it hit home a little harder processing this horrific event from a parent's perspective now. Praying continuously for the victim's, their families, for justice and for a safer world for our children as years pass. Hoping you are all doing the same.
